Slam Club is a bespoke ‘fresh wild and local’ cafe, restaurant and bar, based in Kaikōura, New Zealand.
We specialise in serving unique food, craft beer, home baking, coffee and refreshments, catering to all food types including vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free.
We source our ingredients locally wherever possible; it’s a big part of who we are.
Our space is ideal for speciality events such as our regular quiz night and we cater for private functions on request.
Our Chef
About the only thing at Slam Club that’s not locally sourced is our head chef, but try telling him that.
Kaikōura’s favourite Austrian expat, Philipp Valentin, arrived in town over 15 years ago and has been at Slam Club since its doors opened in 2016, just before the Kaikōura Earthquake.
A much-loved local with a big smile and a flair for creating simple, delicious food from carefully sourced local ingredients.
His friendly staff aren’t too bad either!
